QU:
Why did you want to become a family mediator?
I was looking for a new role which honed in on the skills I had already acquired through my career past and present, with the capacity of giving me not only diversity but longevity. My passion has always been humanity.
QU:
What do you like most about Family mediation?
Mediation never presents the same case twice. You often have to think outside the box and this brings with it an ongoing cycle of personal development and problem solving. It’s challenging but wholly rewarding
QU:
What is the most difficult mediation situation you have dealt with?
Not a question I can answer in detail as human behaviour is often driven by something that is deep routed and as individuals, we all have our own set of values and beliefs. Therefore, it is often difficult to listen to individuals who have lived their lives in desperately difficult and often lonely situations in fear of leaving.
QU:
What do you enjoy most about working with Mediate UK?
Mediate UK provides a strong network of dedicated family mediators who work as a team and openly share knowledge and experience with each other. To have strong support like that around you enables you to provide the best possible service to your clients.
QU:

5. I have an incredibly loud laugh

Read our reviews

I have just started the process. The call was so professional and diplomatic. She listened intently and advised where necessary and helped us understand the process. This gave us the reassurance that mediation was the right process for us.

Extremely helpful conversation & follow up email that I could forward that has enabled me to feel I’ve done everything I can to offer an olive branch, whether accepted or not. The free advice was particularly appreciated as it included the need to go to another provider to utilise legal aid, so be taken seriously and advised away from their own service was notably impressive. Thank you Jess.

Very useful first session and I appreciated the ability to discuss and evaluate the validity of the mediator. I thought the price was reasonable too and the ability to do the session via zoom was very useful.
