I originally worked as a mortgage advisor. After starting a family, I wanted to go back to university and study Law where I realised my passion lied in family law. I then decided to train as a family mediator as I had seen the benefits of this through my own experience. I am now a family mediator alongside being a mum of 3 wonderful boys (where mediation skills can really come in handy!)

QU:
Why did you want to become a family mediator?
Having seen the effects of going through family court on my husband and his son, I wanted to get involved in a way that I felt was beneficial to the children, as well as the family as a whole. Family mediation called to me, after learning about it through my law degree as an alternative to court. It a fantastically rewarding career. What do you like most about Family mediation?
The self-determination of it. YOU get to decide what is best for YOUR family.

What is the most difficult mediation situation you have dealt with?
Any situation involving vulnerable children. I would not say difficult, but perhaps more challenging.
