    QU:
Why did you want to become a family mediator?
I was looking for a new role which honed in on the skills I had already acquired through my career past and present, with the capacity of giving me not only diversity but longevity. My passion has always been humanity.
    QU:
What do you like most about Family mediation?
Mediation never presents the same case twice. You often have to think outside the box and this brings with it an ongoing cycle of personal development and problem solving. It’s challenging but wholly rewarding
    QU:
What is the most difficult mediation situation you have dealt with?
Not a question I can answer in detail as human behaviour is often driven by something that is deep routed and as individuals, we all have our own set of values and beliefs. Therefore, it is often difficult to listen to individuals who have lived their lives in desperately difficult and often lonely situations in fear of leaving.
    QU:
What do you enjoy most about working with Mediate UK?
Mediate UK provides a strong network of dedicated family mediators who work as a team and openly share knowledge and experience with each other. To have strong support like that around you enables you to provide the best possible service to your clients.
    QU:
Give us 5 facts about you:
    1. I’m part of a book club that barely reads!
    2. I have studied anatomy for over 15 years
    3. My hair is not really straight nor that light
    4. I’ve been on 5 Live numerous times
    5. I have an incredibly loud laugh

Read our reviews on Cambridge Mediation

Alistair has a knack for making his clients feel comfortable talking about difficult issues. He applies his considerable knowledge to individual cases and I can confirm he has a good understanding of the nuances of international situations and how they impact the process in the UK. Highly recommended!

    Extremely brilliant service

I was very happy with the help and advice I got from Katie Jolly and she listened to what I had to say and was very supportive, we did a WhatsApp video call
